Vav II: OH so much better

So Vav's a pretty funky letter. Not only can it be a consonant with a "V" sound (remember the vase?) but it can also be a vowel:

That's right, with the mere addition of one little dot on its head, our flowery Vav turns into a vowel with the sound of "OH!" It's a very enthusiastic vowel.

Now, how do we remember this one? Let's imagine that you take an ORANGE, and throw it OVER the . It might look something like this:

The cool thing is, you can toss your orange over just about any letter...
