Kamats

Most of the time, sounds exactly like , meaning it has an "ah" sound. Ok, sometimes it doesn't, but... ahhhh, we'll get to that later.

We could remember the sound simply as with an extra little line in it, but that wouldn't be as fun as finding another kitschy mental image, now, would it? How about an... axe?

(tovah) - Good! This is used for words that Hebrew classifies as feminine in gender. Usually they end in "ah" Aba Tov would be a good father. Imah Tovah would be a good mother.

(Aba) - Means Father!

(chayah) - Animal. Remember that chai means "lives"? From the same root, an animal is something that lives.
